About Shinta Hernandez
Shinta Hernandez is Department Chair of Sociology, Anthropology, and Criminal Justice at Montgomery College in Maryland. She is also a sociology professor and a proponent of open educational practices. She received a B.A. in psychology from Brandeis University and a M.P.P. in social policy from Georgetown University. She is currently working on her dissertation in the sociology Ph.D. program at the University of Maryland College Park.
